CJ is a family friendly group of folks that like to goof around while still accomplishing what we set out to do. We group a lot, raid regularly, and adventure together as we explore all the old content that most people miss in the rush to level up.
That's right. Dozekar down. Betrayal in the Underdepths has been cleared by Carpe Jugulum! Great job tonight guys, and thank you for coming out on a Sunday night to bring this guy down.
Up next will be Vyskudra, then Sevalak. We will begin raids for Vyskudra on Wednesday, September 2nd.
Many of you know us dirges as stable (*they do?*), organized (*um..you're wearing two different socks...*), perceptive (*...they're not even the same colour...*), focused (*...and you just stepped into something...*), observant (*I am not cleaning that up!*) and dutiful (*snicker* *you said doodie*) pillars of the raid.

First of all, I want to thank our dedicated raiders for showing up and bringing some MAJOR WHOOP ASS last night! We killed 3 bosses that we had not previously defeated, and only wiped a total of ONCE! Awesome job guys, give yourselves a pat on the back, you deserve it (Nilbert assumes no legal liability in the event of a dislocated shoulder resulting from said back patting).
Secondly, the conquering of Vallon Zek's Tower (the owner of which we'll be meeting again soon in Plane of War) means that we have officially completed the level 90 portion of the Velious expansion! Velious was rolled out in a non-traditional manner, so I will outline it here briefly:
February 22, 2011 - Destiny of Velious launches with King Tormax being the ultimate boss
May 31, 2011 (exactly four years ago, weird) - LU60 goes active, adding the Fortress of Drunder raids
August 25, 2011 - LU61 goes active, making Plane of War the ultimate zone (PoW was later upgraded to be a level 95 zone, which is why we're skipping it for now)

April 17, 2012 - LU63 adds Skyshrine, raises the level cap to 92, adds the Withered Lands, and adds prestige points to the game
November 13, 2012 - LU65 adds the Chains of Eternity expansion, raising the level cap to 95.
So as you can see, our stop at 92 should be rather brief (3 raid zones). Open to us is The Withered Lands, which contains some quest lines but probably not a lot of gear upgrades, and Skyshrine: The City of Dracur. Our main focus will be in the latter. In order to access the heroic zones, and later the raids, a short quest series needs to be completed in Skyshrine. I have provided a link, and directions to the city below.
To get to Skyshrine, either zone in from The Withered Lands (Village of Alivan) or there should be a yellow flag in the guild hall that will port you right to it. (Pictured below)
A lot of Skyshrine quests should be solo/moloable, but the heroic instances will probably require at least 2 or 3 people with mercs. If you need any assistance, ask your guild mates. This is new territory for me personally, so I'm looking forward to adventuring in Skyshrine with you all!
A Barbarian, a Hobbit and a Dark Elf were all lost in Sinking Sands. They found a lamp and rubbed it. A genie popped out and granted them each one wish. The Dark Elf wished to be back home. Poof! He was back home. The Hobbit wished to be at home with his family. Poof! He was back home with his family. The Barbarian said, "Awwww, I wish my friends were here."
The Bold, Heroic, Legendary, Epic, Mythic and Stupendous guild CARPE JUGULUM has achieved level 100!
Congratulations everyone! You brought us here in less than five months, an amazing feat accomplished by amazing, dedicated members. Seriously, you wow me =)

To celebrate this festive season, I have made this video in honour of the wonderful family that is our guild and the game we so love. Hope you enjoy ! :D
It has been three weeks since the Great Migration, and CJ has accomplished so much!!
We have all pulled together to double the guild level, and contributed status for us to have almost all of the amenities we were accustomed to.
We have succeeded in taking down our two hardest (to date) raid targets, and are all fired up to tackle our upcoming ones. Even though we are not a raid-centered guild, we have an awesome raid force that even guilds larger than us are envious of.
And best of all, we have made a seamless transition into our new identity and remain one of the best communities on any server to be a member of. We have found and recovered almost all our pre-migration guildmates and continue to grow even better with the addition of some new and fantastic initiates.
I love this guild. It is the guild I have always wanted to be a member of, while never dreaming that such a fantastic guild really existed.
Thanks to some fast-acting individuals, we have found each other and regrouped. Everyone has pulled together and in fewer than 3 days has raised the guild 10+ levels to provide more of the amenities we are accustomed to. We have a new web-home to congregate in out of game, and a new guild hall that looks homier every day.
Words are inadequate to express how deeply grateful I am to each of you for keeping our special community alive!
